In Effie Irene (Pearce) Ray-Jones\'s scrapbook: Morning Post, October 19th, 1938
"The Queen Sees Sick Children At Play (Visit by the King and Queen to new hospital buildings for children in Great Ormond Street). \' When the Queen left the hospital she took with her a drawing by an eight-year old girl, Nancy Wright, which showed Nancy lying in bed with the King and Queen standing looking at her. On top of the drawing was written, "Hurrah! Hurrah! Long live the King and Queen\'".
Notes based on a record of Alan and Elizabeth Ray-Jones\'s visit to Canada from Prague in April/May 1999:
Tom Wright\'s unmarried sister Nancy lives in a small house in a wood at the north end of St. Mary\'s lake on Salt Spring Island, near the house that Tom and Irene had first on Salt Spring and where Nancy looked after her parents in their old age. She is a very quiet and religious person, very active in the local church, which has a handicapped vicar. She knew Effie (Alan\'s mother) and kept in touch with her every Christmas until her death in 1996, and subsequently with Alan.
Following her death in 2024, Nancy\'s niece Bridget Fritzsch (Klein) published this moving video, entitled "A Life of Love: In Memory of Dementia Warrior Nancy Wright": https://youtu.be/IOWED1jdH0Q
