Christine Gould/Myers wrote to me by email on 22.9.2013: "Then there is Cecil Gould. I did come across a letter from a university instructor warning Daphne about some mental/emotional (???) problems he had. Phyllis told me that, when 'they' (she & Jack?) were children, there was a family occasion where he was present, & they got the giggles because they thought he was drunk. Could he have been? My godmother had a real horror of tipsiness. It does seem odd that she said so little about him, but then it was a very short marriage. She did remain very good friends with his sister & her family."
