Liz Pearce wrote in December 2010 that she had expected to stay in her current parishes (in Anglesey) until retirement - whenever that was - but that she had been asked instead to consider moving to take charge of the Rectorial Benefice of Bangor, where there are four churches, a team of part-time clergy, including the Archdeacon, and a full time curate-in-training; and that after much prayer, reflection and consultation she decided to accept the challenge - they will move after Sunday 2 January 2011.
A week after giving notice, which caused a fair amount of surprise and distress to her congregations, she learnt that she needed macular hole surgery to her right eye. The operation took place in November and she will soon learn how successful it was.
