Ken and his wife Louise (Peggy) had no children of their own but adopted Madeline's daughter at the age of about one year after Madeline's untimely death at age 22 or so [Madeline Pearce was the daughter of Ken's Uncle Billy Pearce].
Ken and Peggy divorced when Barbara was quite young, and Peggy moved with Barbara to Vancouver. I expect she's still there, although I have not kept in touch - and must admit I can't remember her married name!
