"My brother William Ross died on Feb 2, 2004, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, from complications arising from diabetes. He had been suffering severe pain for some time - having had a hip replacement and two back operations - weakening bone structure is common in advanced stages of that disease, as you may know. He also had a serious heart attack about 5 years ago, and was not deemed well enough for heart surgery. Joyce was having increasing difficulty looking after him at home, and he was in the process of moving to a nursing home when he took a turn for the worse and was admitted to an acute care hospital where he died about a week later."
