The mother of Sarah Wadland was named Wills or Willis, a descendant of the Covenanter General Wills. There were two Sisters descended from General Wills; one married Mr Woodland, and the other Mr, Newton, who was Grandfather of Benjamin Wills Newton, who wrote on the Prophecies. He was a fellow of Exeter College, Oxford, and by leaving the Church lost a College Living of £3,000 per annum.
